Looking for a dynamic job on a regeneratively-minded farm? Come join our team for the 2025 season! Our open position primarily focuses on cut flower harvest, arranging, and field work, although additional hours could be available for those interested in covering occasional farmers markets.

POSITION DESCRIPTIONS

 

Flower Field Assistant: 2 (min) to 4 (max) days/week, through October

  • Schedule: Mondays & Thursdays required (harvest days); 1-2 additional days of work per week available if interested in additional field work (Fri) and/or farmers market hours (Tues and/or Sat)

  • Harvest and process cut flowers for wholesale and retail sales

  • Arrange flower bouquets for CSA and farmers market

  • Assist in field tasks to bring flowers from seed to sale: bed prep, weeding, sowing, planting, trellising, bucket washing, etc.

  • Potential cross training on chicken chores- May be asked to assist with chicken care on occasion

  • If interested in farmers market work: Accurate cash handling, friendly customer service, booth set up/breakdown, merchandizing, etc. required

  • This seasonal position runs through Oct at minimum. Additional shoulder season/winter hours may be discussed between employee and farm owners later in the season.

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Some experience working efficiently and effectively in an organic production farm setting. Direct experience with cut flowers or chickens is not required (We’ll train you!), but it is a plus.

  • Physical ability to work on your feet for long periods of time and work in varying physical positions (standing, bending, kneeling). Ability to safely and consistently lift 50 lbs.

  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).

  • Clear, compassionate and direct communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. We value having a positive and reciprocally caring work culture, and good communication skills are a huge part of this!

  • Proficiency working alone and with a small team.

  • Desire and enthusiasm to learn, think critically and ask good questions!

  • For arranging flowers: A creative practice in any visual art medium can be helpful, as it provides a basis for understanding color, form, balance, etc. in bouquets.

  • For market/delivery drivers: Clean driving record; comfort safely driving a large van.

 

COMPENSATION

  • $16.25-$18.00/hour DOE to start, with raises twice per year: Cost of living raise in July (proportionate with minimum wage increase), and experience-based raise in January for returning employees.

  • Paid sick time provided, accruing according to hours worked.

  • Abundant free flowers, free eggs each week, and discount on pastured chicken.

  • Market staff: Weekly trade value of our farm products with other vendors at market
